Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves _____ will obey my commands."

This is one of our Creed Cards. We've been talking a lot about our Canon Cards, so we figured it was time to switch things up a little, since many of our Creed Cards are also based on passages from the Bible.

This one comes from John 14:23. Here Jesus is talking to the disciples as He prepares to go to the Cross. The word missing from the passage is "Me" ("Anyone who loves me will obey my commands." Jesus referring to Himself.

For the purposes of the game our well-placed blank can be filled with any noun or noun-phrase contained on a Canon Cards. This might be something humorous [e.g. "Squealing pigs" (Mark 5:11-13) or "Midgets in trees" (Luke 19:1-10)] or wholly disturbing [e.g. "Incest with your two daughters" (Genesis19:30-38) or "Crusty, pus-filled sores on the inner thigh" (Deuteronomy 28:35)].

Others might be more poignant:

Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves "Living water" (John 7:38) will obey my commands."

Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves "Justice and Righteousness" (Micah 6:8) will obey my commands."

Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves "Mustard seed faith" (Matthew 17:20) will obey my commands."

Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves "The least of these" (Matthew 25:40) will obey my commands."

The choice with this, as with most things, is completely in your hands. You the player. You the liver of life. You the lover.

Perhaps this is something we should all keep in mind.

But what do we know: we made this game and you probably think we're going to Hell.
